Story
On the 9th May 2020, I shall be walking a half marathon to raise funds for St Elizabeth Hospice.
They looked after my father in his last few weeks of life and were just amazing, both to him and to us. We were able to spend his final night in the hospice in their family room and a nurse came and got us so that we were able to share his final moments and be there with him as he passed away. Their support for the whole family has been phenomenal and I would love to be able to do this in order to help raise much needed funds.
I aim to raise £120 - which is just enough to fund a home visit to a patient living with a terminal illness by one of their wonderful health care assistants. This will enable them to stay at home and prevent unwanted hospital admissions.
